The Traveling Belly Dancer – Koh Pangnan Island

image

It was a long journey, but I have arrived on Koh Pangnan Island. It is a small island in the gulf of Thailand. Not the easiest place to get to… I took a train, a boat and an off-roading truck to get the my room near Haad Tien beach. It was worth it for the view. I am enjoy the sun, sand and of course lots of yoga.
Yoga is such an important tool for a belly dancer. When you do belly dance correctly it does very little to hurt your lower back, but there is always some tension left over after a good show or a long practice. Lets face it … how many of us have perfect technique all the time. Yoga is the best way I have found to release the tension of my lower back. I highly suggested adding some basic yoga to your cool down routine. You will thank me and so will your lower back.

There is more to come as I continue my 24 day yoga training and more to come with traveling after.

What do you have in your cool down routine? Do you do yoga?
